1. Who we are

Devs Wizard is a web development agency based in Jhenaidah, Bangladesh. We build websites, online stores, mobile apps and custom software for clients around the world.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

When you fill in the contact form, the project enquiry modal, or the newsletter signup, we collect what you type in. Specifically:

• Contact form and project enquiry: your name, email address, an optional phone number, your budget range, the type of project, and your message.
• Newsletter signup: your email address.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, some information is recorded without you typing anything:

• Your IP address
• Your browser and device information
• The pages you visit and the site that referred you
• How long you spend on the site

This comes from two places: Google Analytics (only if you agree to analytics cookies) and our own server logs. We also store the IP address and browser user agent alongside every form submission, so we can catch spam and stop abuse.

3. Why we collect it

• To reply to your enquiry and talk to you about your project.
• To prevent spam and abuse — this is why we store IP addresses and user agents with form submissions, and why we rate-limit our forms.
• To understand which pages people actually find useful, so we can improve the site.
• To send you the newsletter, but only if you asked for it.

To be completely clear: we do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it for anything you would not reasonably expect.

4. Cookies

• Essential cookies are needed for the site to work — things like remembering your theme preference and your cookie choice itself. These do not need your consent.
• Analytics cookies come from Google Analytics. They only run if you actively accept them. Declining costs you nothing — the site works exactly the same either way, with no reduced features and no nagging.

You can change your mind at any time. Use the Cookie settings link — it is in the footer of every page too — to reopen the cookie banner and switch your choice.

5. Third parties who process data on our behalf

A few services help us run the site. Here is honestly what each one sees:

• Google Analytics (Google LLC) — usage data such as pages visited and approximate location, and only if you have accepted analytics cookies.
• Vercel — our hosting provider. It sees the requests made to the site.
• Cloudflare — our CDN and DNS provider, and where our images and media are served from (cdn.devswizard.com). It sees the requests made to the site.
• Our email provider — receives the contents of your enquiry so that we get notified when you contact us.

Some of these providers are based outside your country, including in the United States. Where your data is transferred internationally, it stays protected by these providers' own safeguards.

6. How long we keep things

• Enquiries: we keep them while we might still be in conversation, and for a reasonable period afterwards as a business record — up to 3 years. If you want yours deleted sooner, ask and we will delete it.
• Analytics: retained according to Google's own settings, which default to 14 months.
• Newsletter: we keep your email until you unsubscribe.

7. Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK, GDPR and UK GDPR give you clear rights over your data. Wherever you are, we will honour these:

• Access — ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to fix anything that is wrong.
• Deletion — ask us to delete your data.
• Objection — object to how we use it.
• Portability — ask for your data in a portable format.
• Withdrawing consent — change your cookie choice or unsubscribe at any time.

To exercise any of these, just email hello@devswizard.com — there is no form to fill in and no hoops to jump through. We will action your request within 30 days.

8. Security

Here is what we actually do to keep your data safe:

• Encrypted connections everywhere — the site is served over HTTPS.
• Access to the database is limited to our team.
• We do not store passwords in plain text.
• Every form is validated on the server and rate-limited.

We do not claim certifications we do not hold — this is an honest description of our practices, not a compliance badge.

9. Children

This site is not aimed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has sent us their data, email us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For anything material, we will flag the change on the site so you are not caught out.
