Privacy Policy
Formula Hub for Android · Last updated: September 3, 2026
Formula Hub (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is published by Devs Wizard for the Android package com.devswizard.formulahub. It is built to be private by design: there is no account, no server, and no tracking of any kind. The entire formula library ships inside the app, so it works with no internet connection at all. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what the app does and does not do with information.
1. Information we collect
We collect nothing. Formula Hub has no sign-up or login, no user profiles, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising identifiers. We do not know who you are, we cannot see what you study, and we receive no data from the app whatsoever.
We do not collect, transmit, sell, share or rent any personal information — because none is ever sent off your device in the first place.
2. What is stored on your device
So the app can remember your place, the following is saved in the app's own private storage on your phone. It is never uploaded anywhere:
- •Your chosen level, default subject, theme, LaTeX display preference, and daily-reminder setting and time.
- •Bookmarked formulas.
- •Quiz history — your scores, answers and the topics you got wrong.
- •Which formulas you have opened, how many times, and your most recent ones.
- •Practice tallies (correct and attempts) and your day streak, including your personal best.
The formula content itself is read-only and compiled into the app — it is never written to your storage. You can clear your bookmarks or reset all progress at any time from Settings → Data, and uninstalling the app removes everything above from your device.
3. Device permissions
Formula Hub declares four Android permissions and nothing more. It never asks for your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, files or storage.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)
Requested only when you switch on "Daily Reminder" in Settings, so the app can show one formula to review each day at the time you choose. If you decline, the switch turns back off and no reminder is set. The reminder is generated on your device from the built-in formula library — it is not delivered from any server.
Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED)
Used only to re-register your daily reminder after the phone restarts, so an alarm you already set is not silently lost. It does nothing if the reminder is off.
Network access (INTERNET)
The app makes no network requests of its own — all 342 formulas, examples, practice items and quizzes are compiled into the app itself. This permission exists only so the links you tap can open: this privacy policy and the Play Store listing in your browser, your mail app for Contact, and the system share sheet.
Network state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE)
Used only to show the "You're offline" note on the Home screen. It reads whether a connection exists — never what you do with it — and sends no traffic of its own.
4. No accounts, servers, or tracking
- ✓ No account or sign-in.
- ✓ No data is uploaded to us or to any third party.
- ✓ No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDK, no cross-app tracking.
- ✓ Every formula, worked example, practice session and quiz works fully offline.
- ✓ Nothing is sold or shared. There is no data to sell.
5. Third-party services
The current version of Formula Hub includes no third-party analytics, advertising or backend services. The only time another app is involved is when you tap a link yourself: the app hands off to your browser (this policy, the Play Store listing), your mail client (Contact), the Google Play app (Rate) or the system share sheet (Share). What happens after that hand-off is governed by those apps' and services' own privacy policies, not this one.
6. Advertising
Version 1.0.0 contains no advertising. No ad SDK is included in the build, and no advertising or device identifier is read or transmitted.
If a future version introduces ads, this section will be replaced with a full disclosure — naming the ad provider, the identifiers it collects and the purposes it uses them for — and the app's Google Play Data safety declaration will be updated in the same release, before the version ships. We will not add advertising to a release without updating this page first.
7. Children's privacy
Formula Hub is an educational reference intended for students from roughly age 11 upward, and is rated for general audiences. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either. It contains no ads, no in-app purchases, no social features and no user-generated content.
8. Data security
Because your data never leaves your device, its security is tied to your device's own protections — screen lock, encryption and Android's app sandboxing, which keeps the app's storage private to it. We recommend keeping your device secured and up to date.
9. Your choices and your rights
You stay in control of everything the app stores. You can turn the daily reminder off, or revoke the notification permission entirely, from your device Settings. You can clear your bookmarks or reset your full progress from Settings → Data inside the app, and uninstalling removes all of it.
Rights such as access, correction, deletion and portability under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and the CCPA apply to data a company holds about you. We hold none — there is no account to delete and no record of you on any system of ours — so those rights are satisfied by the app's own controls above.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above. Any change to how the app handles data — for example introducing advertising — will be published here before the release that makes it, and reflected in the app's Play Store Data safety form.
